Haytham Tambal (born November 28, 1978 in Sudan) is a Sudanese football striker currently playing for Al-Merrikh.[1] He is the all-time Sudan national football team top scorer. In 2008 in the Sudanese league he scored 21 goals in 20 games. He used to play rivals al hilal and in 2006 he went to South African outfit Orlando Pirates but played only once. In 2007 he went to African Al-Merrikh and is still there. He was awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year a record 8 times.
