Heini Becker

Heinrich Thomas "Heini" Becker AM (born 18 January 1935) was an Australian politician who represented the South Australian House of Assembly seats of Hanson from 1970 to 1993 and Peake from 1993 to 1997 for the Liberal Party of Australia. He was on the Public Accounts Committee and the Economic and Finance Committee.[1]

Becker's father was Dr. Johannes Heinrich Becker, a German immigrant and member of the German Nazi Party who attempted to form a Nazi Party of Australia but was removed as state leader in 1936. During the Second World War, Becker's father was interned by the Australian authorities and expelled from the country at the end of the war.[2]
