Heinrich Hiesinger

Heinrich Hiesinger (born May 25, 1960) is the CEO of ThyssenKrupp.

Biography

Hiesinger was born in Bopfingen in southern Germany and grew up on a farm. He obtained a PhD in Electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.[1] From 1992 to 2010, he held several positions within the Siemens Group. In 2007, he became a member of the board of Siemens.

On October 1, 2010, he left Siemens to join the board of ThyssenKrupp. On January 21, 2011, Hiesinger succeeded Ekkehard Schulz as CEO.[2]
