Heinz Auert (11 June 1921 – 18 February 2002) was a German Leutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. Heinz Auert was born on 11 June 1921 in Halle (Saale) and received the Knight's cross as a Lieutenant of the reserve and leader of the 2nd company of Panzer reconnaissance battalion 116 on 28 February 1945. Heinz Auert died on 18 February 2002 in Rüppershausen.
