Hellfjorden (Vesterålen)

Coordinates: 68°40′58.1″N 14°47′22.5″E / 68.682806°N 14.789583°E / 68.682806; 14.789583 Hellfjorden is a fjord in Vesterålen, in Norway. It is an arm of Eidsfjorden in Sortland Hadsel municipalities in Nordland.

Hellfjorden is a 6.5 km long fjord on the north side of Eidsfjorden on Langøya in Vesterålen in Nordland . The border between the municipalities Bo and Sortland is in the middle of the bay.

The bay has an inlet between Oksneset next Guvåg west, Hellfjord club in the east. In the outer part of the fjord islands Storøya, Ramnøya, Torskøya and Slåttøya middle of the bay. Further up is the islands Rein Eye and Teistøya. Vestpolløya is a peninsula almost at the head of the fjord. It extends north-east of the west and east of the peninsula lies fjord Vestpollen. From here Hellfjorden extends a half mile further north to the end of the fjord. There are no major settlements along the fjord and no road connection, but the abandoned farm Hellfjorden located on the east side of the bay.
