The Hellman Building is a historic building in Downtown Los Angeles.

Location

It is located on the corner of Fourth Street and Spring Street, in the Old Bank District.[1][2]

History

It was built in 1903 for Herman W. Hellman, a German-born American Jewish businessman and banker.[1] It was designed by architect Alfred Rosenheim.[1][2]

It took the place of a house originally built by Hellman. It was a small wooden cottage, designed by Kysor & Mathews in 1875.[3]
