History

Hello Health was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jay Parkinson and Nathanial Findlay and is operated and privately owned by Myca Health. In July 2008, Hello Health opened a medical clinic in New York. The practice was touted as a house-call and in-clinic service “that sees you in person and communicates with you over the Internet.” Parkinson closed the Williamsburg practice and left Hello Health in 2009[4] when the company shifted focus to the development of the Hello Health EHR platform. Direct-pay practitioners and insurance-based physicians began using the platform in 2009.

Sandbox Industries and Blue Cross became the first of Hello Health’s major investors in 2009.[5] Since that year, the cloud-based platform has raised more than 40 million dollars and as of 2014 has several hundred clients in 32 states, and more than 300,000 patient users.

In 2015 Hello Health created Wellbox. Hello Health Wellbox is a service offering for primary care physicians and specialists who are looking for a partner to implement and execute chronic care management. CMS created the chronic care management program[6] in January 2015 to allow providers to utilize telemedicine visits to stay in touch with Medicare patients.

At the heart of our CCM service is Wellbox. Staffed by trained and certified medical professionals, our coordinators help your organization to:

- Ensure that your eligible patients are successfully following your treatment plans, reinforcing your goals through proven engagement interventions

- Manage all CCM-related documents

- Document in your EHR in real time using your EHR’s interactive tasking and messaging to communicate with your practice staff, ensuring you keep up to date on your patients’ care each month
