Henrik Ahnberg, better known as AdmiralBulldog, is a professional Swedish Dota 2 player who plays for Alliance, where he won The International 2013 with the team. AdmiralBulldog has earned $422,848.75 from eSports tournament prize money.[1]

History

AdmiralBulldog debuted with the mainly Swedish team No Tidehunter on November 9, 2013 against Team Empire.[2] Even though they beat Team Empire in a best of 3, Team Empire went on to win the TPL III league.[3]

After beating teams such as Evil Geniuses, Natus Vincere, Fnatic, Team Liquid and winning nine tournaments in less than seven months, Alliance decide to pick up the roster of No Tidehunter on April 12, 2013.[4]

Immediately after getting sponsored, Alliance won 6 premier tournaments in a row including The International 3.[5] The last moments of the game were noted by the community as 'the most interesting,' because of AdmiralBulldog's type of victory[6] and his teammate, S4, '1 million dollar dream coil'.[7]

After a disappointing 11th-12th-place finish at The International 4, Alliance announces roster changes.[8] After another bad 8th-place finish at XMG Captains Draft 2.0, AdmiralBulldog went inactive in the competitive scene and started full-time streaming on Twitch.tv except for one tournament with Team Tinker.[9]

AdmiralBulldog returned to playing on Alliance for I-league season 3, in which they got 5-6th place.[10]

In the WCA 2015 Europe Open Qualifiers, Alliance won 1st place and $8,000, the only gold medal since ASUS ROG DreamLeague season 1.[11] The team later went on to win the tournament.[12]

On January 17, 2016, Alliance won StarLadder i-League StarSeries.[13]
