Henrique Dinis Oliveira Dias (born 21 January 1990 in Monção, Viana do Castelo), known as Dinis, is a Portuguese footballer who is a free agent after playing for the Croatian club NK Istra 1961 as a defensive midfielder.

Career

A product of the Vitória Guimarães and a former youth international, Dinis played only once for the club in his 5 seasons on contract with the club, moving between loans in 2nd- and 3rd-tier clubs in Spain and Portugal. He joined the Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League debut season, moving on to NK Istra 1961 in Croatia after the season was over.

He debuted for Istra 1961 in the 20.2.2015 away loss to Slaven Belupo,[1] playing 8 matches for the club before the mutual termination of his contract on 16.10.2015.[2]

Personal life

Dinis was lauded as a hero in his native Portugal by the media [3] and NGOs [4] after saving the lives of two Spanish fishermen who were drowning in the Minho river.
