Henry C. Bottum
Henry C. Bottum was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Biography
Bottum was born in January 1826 in Orwell, Vermont,[1] reports have differed on the exact date. He married Helen Burnham on July 22, 1852. Bottum would later become a farmer in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. He died in 1913.
A son, Joseph, would become a member of the South Dakota Senate. Joseph's son, Joseph H. Bottum, would serve as Lieutenant Governor of South Dakota and in the United States Senate. Writer Joseph Bottum and musician Roddy Bottum are great-great-grandsons of Henry.
Assembly career
Bottum was a member of the Assembly during the 1868, 1869 and 1879 sessions.[2] He was a Republican.
