Charles Husband

Sir Henry Charles Husband (1908–1983) was a leading consulting engineer in Great Britain. His offices were based in Sheffield, England. He designed bridges and major civil engineering works and had a role in designing the Jodrell Bank^[1] radio telescope.

Husband was educated at King Edward VII School in Sheffield. He founded Husband & Co, Consulting Engineers, in Sheffield and assisted in the design of Jodrell Bank and Goonhilly Downs aerials.^[2][3]

Awards

Husband won the Royal Medal in 1965.^[4] and the Wilhelm Exner Medal in 1966^[5] He was president of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1965-65 and was awarded their Gold Medal in 1973.^[6]
