Heterotelergone

Heterotelergones (also known as allelochemicals) are a class of biologically synthesized chemicals (includes pheromones, venom, and phytoncides) which entice, repel, immobilize, or alter tissues. They are a type of semiochemicals which are often used by terrestrial plants, and some aquatic plants to defend against algae, to indirectly defend themselves from predators.
