"Hey School Boy" is a song recorded by American pop rock band Stefy. It was released as the second single from their debut album, The Orange Album (2006). The track was written by Jimmy Harry and Mimi Jakobson, while production was handled by the former. Musically, the single is a pop and electronic rock-influenced with lyrics discussing "finding love" in a schoolboy.

After its release, "Hey School Boy" received generally positive reviews from critics, who appreciated the change in direction from previous single "Chelsea". Unlike "Chelsea", the single was not commercially successful and did not manage to peak on any significant record chart. A music video was created for the song in 2006.

Music video

The video for the song features Stefy in a window display and lounging in a chair auditioning guys for the group's video while showing her and the band performing the song in a warehouse. It was directed by Nigel Dick who is known for directing videos for people such as Britney Spears and Nickelback.

Promotion

On November 7, Stefy and Wind-up Records announced the launch of "The 15 Seconds of Fame with Stefy" contest on YouTube. The contest delivers the opportunity for Stefy fans and/or anyone with a video cam to submit their most creative and outrageous dance moves for a chance to be featured in the video. The video premiered on MTV with a 30 minute broadcast. This half-hour broadcast titled "Stefy: The Orange Special," was made possible by a winning bid made by Wind Up Records at a recent charity auction benefiting LIFEbeat, an organization dedicated to reaching America's youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention. LIFEbeat mobilizes the talents and resources of the music industry to raise awareness and provide support to the AIDS community.
