Hibernia Bank (San Francisco)
Hibernia Bank,[1] headquartered in San Francisco, was founded in 1859 as the Hibernia Savings and Loan Society.[2] It was acquired by Security Pacific Bank in 1988. Security Pacific Bank was acquired by Bank of America in 1992. In 1974, a branch of this bank was robbed by the Symbionese Liberation Army and Patty Hearst.[3]
