Highland Farms

Highland Farms is a family-owned grocery retail chain with stores located throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Founded in 1968 by brothers Charles Coppa and Louie Coppa, Highland Farms grew from operating a single moderately sized grocery outlet to five expansive mega-markets in Vaughan, Scarborough, Mississauga and North York.

While the Highland Farms head office is located within their North York location at 4750 Dufferin Street, the Mississauga outlet at 50 Matheson Boulevard is considered the flagship store because it has, by far, the highest square footage and product selection.

Highland Farms is especially noted for their extra-wide cart-friendly grocery aisles, extensive selection of fresh food, and extra-large fresh meat counters staffed by professionally trained butchers. With stores generally located within multi-cultural areas of the GTA, Highland Farms is also known for a sizable selection of international foods.
