Jamey Blaze, also known by his stage name Hiimwaterdragon, is an American record producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. As a teenager, his uncle Pete Pontikoff (vocalist of Benümb) introduced him to the metal/punk scene at Gilman, among other music scenes in the Bay Area and gave him the opportunity to do production jobs for his projects signed with Relapse Records.[2][3][4][5][6] His independent commercial debut began January 2010 with the release of his former band Zebra Mountain's album, The Band That Sucks. In 2011 Jamey would co-found a band called This Is Why I Do This. Before finishing their first full length album, they signed a seemingly non exclusive record contract with Tate Publishing & Enterprises that same year. Their debut album, Aerophobia was released May 2012 along with a music video for "Go" , shot in Oklahoma City, OK.[7][8] Undisclosed details would later follow the release and event series of This Is Why I Do This as a group.

Currently he is the drummer for his main project, Vantana Row with his long-time friend Volly Terry.[9][10] Other than Vantana Row, Jamey is promoting his side project The World Famous Pool Boyz (TWFPBZ) as lead guitarist and co-vocalist. There are rumors of the band's relationship with Empire Distribution, though nothing has yet to surface on the internet so far to affirm it.[11][12]

Early life

Jamey Jean Blaze was born James Marshall Pattison on January 26, 1989 in Antioch, CA.[11] His parents separated when he was five years old. During bi-weekly visits to his father's apartment at age ten, he was taught electric guitar. It wasn't until a few years later that he was indirectly exposed to electronic music production through his mother, Suzanne Ferraro while she would practice bass guitar with an Alesis drum machine. She would invite Jamey to grab the microphone and improvise scat singing along with humorous storytelling while his mother would play bass to the drum machine. "I started recording a few years after I started playing guitar....At first I just wanted to jot down my ideas.. It quickly became more and more dramatic. The recordings became real pieces..... Art."[11]
