Hillsboro, Washington County, Pennsylvania


Hillsboro was a small town in North Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania in the early 1800s. The community was named for Robert Hill, an early settler.[1] The Hill family is recognized for building Hill's Tavern (now known as Century Inn), between 1788 and 1794. The town was renamed Hilsboro (date unknown), up until April 10, 1867, when it was renamed Scenery Hill.
