Biography and career

He made his K-1 debut in 1999 with a unanimous decision win over John Wyatt. On his first K-1 tournament at K-1 Spirits 1999 he made it to the final where he, for the first time, met his career long rival Musashi and suffered his first loss.

Hiromi Amada has faced some of the biggest names in K-1 like Andy Hug, Mike Bernardo, Mirko Filipović, Jerome Le Banner, Michael McDonald and Mark Hunt. Highlights of his career so far have been the K-1 Beast 2004 in Shizuoka tournament Championship and the Heat Kickboxing Heavyweight tournament Championship.

He faced Makoto Uehara at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2012 in Tokyo Final 16 on October 14, 2012[2][3] and lost via unanimous decision.[4]

He knocked out Tomohiko Hashimoto eighteen seconds into the first round at Big Bang 11 on December 2, 2012.[5]

Amada defeated Tsutomu Takahagi by way of unanimous decision at Big Bang 12 in Tokyo on February 24, 2013.[6][7]

He defeated Mr. Kamikaze by majority decision at Legend 4 in Kumamoto, Japan on November 17, 2013.[8]
