Although not reflected on the cover, the version of "Let's Stick Together" on this album is "Westside '88 Remix". This is stated on the CD label and the liner notes which accompany the cassette edition.

Release information

Hits of '89 Volume 1 was released on LP, cassette and CD. A version was also released on VHS video featuring the music videos of the songs featured on the album, omitting one song. The album was released by EMI Records Australia Pty. Ltd. although is credited "A Joint EMI/Festival Project"on the back cover.
