Hokuto Matsumura (松村 北斗 Matsumura Hokuto, born June 18, 1995), is a Japanese idol, actor, and singer. He is currently a member of Johnny's Jr. unit SixTONES.
Background
Matsumura was born in Shizuoka and has an older brother. He hold black belt in Karate and have won some tournaments, including his best achievements are ranked 2nd in prefecture tournament[1] and participated in national tournament. He quit Karate in 2009 to focus on entertainment career.
He was motivated to send in his application to the talent agency Johnny & Associates because of his admiration toward Tomohisa Yamashita after watching drama Kurosagi.[2]
Career
Matsumura joined the talent agency Johnny & Associates in 2009 and soon made a CD debut as a part of temporary units Yuma Nakayama w/B.I.Shadow[3] and NYC boys.[4]
He made his acting debut in NTV's Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou in 2012. His acting was praised by Johnny Kitagawa and later he landed a main role in TBS' golden hour drama Kuro no Onna Kyoushi.[5]
