"Hold on My Heart" is a 1992 single by rock band Genesis. It was released as the third single from their 1991 album We Can't Dance. The song proved to be successful in both the UK and the U.S. reaching number one on the US Adult contemporary charts, Canadian singles chart and number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, it also peaked number 16 on the official UK singles chart.
It was the last Top 20 single for Genesis on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The music video shows the band playing at an empty night club; similar to Collins' 1985 video for "One More Night."
Live performances
The song was played live during The Way We Walk,[1] Calling All Stations (with Ray Wilson on vocals,[2] though rarely played), and Turn It On Again: The Tour[3] tours.
A live version appears on their albums The Way We Walk, Volume One: The Shorts, and Live Over Europe 2007, as well as on their DVDs The Way We Walk — Live in Concert and When in Rome 2007.
