Holy Trinity Catholic and Church of England School co-educational voluntary aided primary and secondary school for pupils aged from 3 to 16. The school is jointly funded by Barnsley LEA, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hallam and the Church of England Diocese of Leeds. The school is located in Carlton Road, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England.

The school was formed in 2012 from the merger of St Michaels Catholic and Church of England High School, Holy Cross Deanery Church of England Primary School and St Dominic's Catholic Primary School.[1] The school opened in a new building on land adjacent to the old High School site.[2]

Holy Trinity is the only purpose built 3-16 Catholic and Church of England school in the country.

Holy Trinity achieved 'Good' in a review by Ofsted, on the 3–4 July 2014.[3]

Many videos produced by the school and it's pupils can be found on the School's YouTube channel.

Consequences Pathway

The school uses a system of escalating "repercussions" as a framework for discipline, starting with the issue of a C1 and ranging through to the issue of a C4. [4]

C1 - Verbal Warning,

C2 - Order (Note to parent) written in Student Planner,

C3 - Consequence point noted on SIMS,

C4 - Removal from the Classroom by another member of Staff.

When a student receives a C4 and is removed from the classroom, the student will be sent home and requested to return later that day for an after-school detention session from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. If the Student doesn't return to attend the session, or behaviour in the session is disruptive, then the student will be placed in the School's Seclusion room the next academic day. While in the Seclusion room, the student is expected to maintain silence and good behaviour. In the even that either of those expectations are broken, the Student is placed on an External Fixed Term Exclusion.
