Fortune cookie
The Hong Kong Noodle Shop is usually associated with the fortune cookie, as its founder, Jung David, claimed that he created the fortune cookie a few years after opening his noodle shop. He said that he was concerned about the paupers wandering outside his restaurant and decided to give them his cookies free of charge; however, to this day this claim has never been proven.
