Hope Through Health
Hope Through Health (HTH) is an American Boston, Massachusetts-based public charity with the mission of providing financial and technical healthcare assistance to poor communities internationally. Founded in 2003 by then Peace Corps[1] volunteers Kevin Fiori, Jr.[2] and Dr. Peter Davenport,[3] Hope Through Health believes that health is a human right regardless of an individual's ability to pay for it.[4]
Hope Through Health partners with Association Espoir pour Demain-Lidaw (AED-Lidaw) in Kara, Togo, West Africa.[5] This partnership is called the Initiative. AED-Lidaw is a community of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). The Initiative models a community-directed approach to HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention[6] Hope Through Health was inspired by Partners In Health founder Dr. Paul Farmer.
