Hoplostethus grandperrini, also known as Grandperrin's giant sawbelly, is a slimehead found in the northwest Pacific.[1] It was named after Dr. René Grandperrin, a retired chief scientist and "ardent" fish researcher who worked at ORSTOM Nouméa.[1] It can reach lengths of up to 45.5cm.[1]
