Horsey Island

Horsey Island is an inhabited and privately owned island near Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.[1] Permission is required to visit.[2]

It is linked to the mainland by a causeway that can be walked with care at low tide, and is one of 43 (unbridged) tidal islands that can be walked to from the mainland of Great Britain.[2]

The island features in Arthur Ransome's children's novel Secret Water.
