Hugh Davies (born 1971), is an Australian media arts practitioner, researcher and educator.

Born in Darwin, Australia, Davies trained at the Victorian College of the Arts from 1997 to 1999, Copenhagen Technical Academy from 2003 to 2005, and has since held lecturing positions at the Adelaide Centre for the Arts and the University of South Australia.

In 2007, Davies initiated and produced the children’s animation training and hosting site “RollerMache” while employed at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for which he won an Australian Teachers of Media ATOM Award in 2008.

Hugh Davies also conceived the "Analogue Art Map" with Marcus Helm.[1] He serves on the board of the Australian Network for Art and Technology and is currently the Board Chair of the Freeplay Independent Gaming Festival.[2]
