The Hull Executive is a British named passenger train operated by Virgin Trains East Coast from Hull Paragon to London King's Cross.

The service was introduced in 1978 by British Rail, replacing the previous Hull Pullman service. At first the service was operated by Deltic locomotives. These were replaced by InterCity 125 high-speed trains (HSTs) in the 1980s, by which time the Hull Executive was Hull's only through train to London.

The name is used for the Virgin Trains East Coast HST return service, up to London in the morning and returning to Hull in the early evening. The train calls at Brough and Selby as well as certain stations on the East Coast Main Line from Doncaster southwards. Prior to this, it was routed through Goole instead of Selby. There was no mention of the 'Hull Executive' in the December 2015 timetable published by Virgin Trains East Coast, and is no longer used. The service still runs, but is no longer named as the Hull Executive.

Since First Hull Trains began operations in 2001, the Hull Executive no longer had a monopoly on the route. FHT now operates seven London-Hull through trains daily each way.

Virgin Trains East Coast's three other named trains are the Northern Lights, the Highland Chieftain and the most well-known, the Flying Scotsman.
