Hurricane Nicole
The name Nicole has been used for two tropical cyclones and one subtropical cyclone in the Atlantic Ocean since it was first placed on the fixed list for the 1980 Atlantic hurricane season.
- 1998's Hurricane Nicole - a late season storm which was only briefly a hurricane west of the Azores and never approached land. Named strongest and most intense December storm.
- 2004's Subtropical Storm Nicole - formed from a low-pressure area near Bermuda and headed towards Nova Scotia. Persisted less than 2 days.
- 2010's Tropical Storm Nicole - weak tropical storm that affected Cuba and brought heavy flooding to Jamaica as a tropical system. Contributed to the formation of a large coastal storm up the US East Coast after being absorbed by an extra-tropical low.
