Iğdır is a village in Mersin Province, Turkey. It is a part of Akdeniz district which itself is a part of Greater Mersin. It is to the north of the city, and the distance between the village and the city is about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi). The population of the village was 1,243 as of 2012.[1]
