IPMI International Business School (formerly Indonesia Institute for Management Development) is a business school located in Jl. Rawajati Timur I/1, Kalibata, South of Jakarta, Indonesia. It offers both bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration, along with some other business programs available, all delivered in English. Starting from 2012, IPMI International Business School is also focusing on business research in order to improve business in Indonesia.

IPMI International Business School, established in 1984 in Indonesia has been known as a leading business school in preparing senior executives for international markets. IPMI is pioneer in executive and MBA education in Indonesia; the first in the region to conduct education fully delivered in English; the first to deliver MBA programs in Indonesia; and the first to utilize Harvard case-based pedagogic approach in the region. IPMI International Business School has signed the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for double degree partnership with the following universities: Oulu Business School in Finland (AACSB accredited); Melbourne Business School in Australia (AACSB accredited and MBA program EQUIS accredited); Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France (AACSB accredited), Audencia Nantes School of Management in France (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accredited); and ENPC School of International Management in Paris, France (AMBA accredited). History

Indonesia Institute for Management Development (IPMI) was founded in 1984 by Bustanil Arifin with the cooperation with Harvard Business School. Initially, the school only offered master's degree as its program. In 2003, IPMI offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree for undergraduates. In 2012, IPMI goes International and changes its name to IPMI International Business School with the motto: Inspiring, Pioneering, Mindshaping, and Impacting.

Academics

IPMI International Business School offers all undergraduates the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, while the graduates are offered with Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Besides the other programs mentioned, there are also other programs such as Executive MBA for the post graduates, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preparatory program, and in-house programs including Management development program and Professional Development Program. All programs mentioned are using Harvard case studies as one of the learning methods. Exchange program is also available for those who desire to study abroad.

Learning Research Center

IPMIs E-Library will provide full access to an extensive electronic content resources to support international quality education, faculty research, instruction, corporate innovation processes, life-science business development and life-long learning. The E-library will be a pride and attractor of talent to IPMI. IPMI will have a fund-raising campaign to make the vision possible to implement.

The E-Library web site will contain helpful information about the library services and serves as the gateway to access library e-resources. The E-Library web site will contain a wealth of information, including research guides and online tutorials on many topics, as well as access to databases, e-books, online journals, e-audio books, book summaries and an extensive virtual reference shelf.

Students of IPMI International Business School have the opportunity to study in Oulu Business School in Finland, ECS DIJON in France and Burgundy Business School in France.

Student life

Students are treated as Customers and called as Learners. This way they have full rights of contributing feedbacks, complaints, and comments to the school. Learners are expected to be very active in class discussions and with the projects given. A lot of challenges and experiences are going to be provided for learners to be able to apply the knowledge in work life. The environment is global with numbers of International students and local students. The mixture of international individuals and local individuals are also applied for faculty as well as staff of the Business School.
