Michael Curtis Anderson (born 19 May 1996 in Jamaica, Queens), better known by his stage name I Am Trigg (formerly Baby Triggy), is an American recording artist. He gained international attention with a song named "My Jeans", which he wrote and performed with Jenna Rose. The video went viral on YouTube and received over 14 million views in a brief period time.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Early life and career beginnings
I Am Trigg was chosen as one of the opening acts for Chris Lighty's Violator Management as the youngest artist on their roster in 2009.[8] At age 14, I Am Trigg [9] wrote and produced a song for artist Jenna Rose called "My Jeans", which features a rap by Baby Triggy, on YouTube in October 2010.[10] The video has "spawned parodies, video responses, rap replies and more than a dozen pages of written critiques."[11] In February 2013, "My Jeans" was featured in the Babelmusic.com's Top 5 YouTube Candidates For The Billboard Hot 100, making number 2 on the list.[7][12]
