I Never Cry
"I Never Cry" is a song by Alice Cooper. It was originally released on his Alice Cooper Goes to Hell album in 1976.
The song was written by Cooper and Dick Wagner. The song reached #12 on the US charts in January 1977. On Alice's radio show November 23, 2009 Alice stated that this was his biggest selling single. However, he did not state what source or criterion he was referencing when making this statement. The song was, however, his only gold record in the U.S. besides his comeback hit in 1989, "Poison."
The song was written about his drinking problem, which would in one year send the performer into rehab. Cooper called the song "an alcoholic confession".
In Popular Culture
- The song was covered by Filipina-Australian actress Iya Villania on her 2008 album, Finally!.[1]
- It was also covered by Spanish rock band Hombres G on their debut album as "No llorare".[2]
- It was covered by Poison on the 2007 album, Poison'd!
- Opm R&B artist Jay-R performed the song on the show "Your face sounds familiar" with a full impersonation of Alice Cooper. It caught Coopers' attention and twitted about it.

Use in pop culture
- The song was used in the final scene and closing credits of the 2011 Bobcat Goldthwait film, God Bless America.
- In the Philippines, the part of the said song was used in the opening stinger of Green FM La Salle Cavite DWSU 95.9 FM's Kausap since 2013.
