Ian Hopkins
Ian Hopkins is a senior British police officer. Since October 2015, he has has been Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police (GMP). He was Assistant Chief Constable of GMP between April 2008 and December 2011. He then served as Deputy Chief Constable of GMP until his promotion to Chief Constable and his appointment as head of the force.[1] He previously worked for Northamptonshire Police and Cheshire Constabulary.[2] He also served as the national lead for Policing of Party Political Conferences and Digital Engagement within the Association of Chief Police Officers.[1]
