ICONICS is an industrial automation software developer. ICONICS software is used by many industries such as Automotive, Transportation, Building Control, Security, Food, Pharmaceutical, Machine Building, Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Water and Wastewater, Renewable Energy and Manufacturing.

History

Founded in 1986, headquartered in Foxborough, Massachusetts near Boston, MA, the company has offices Worldwide, including the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, China, France, Germany and Middle East. ICONICS also has joint software development and sales offices in the Czech Republic and Italy.

ICONICS industrial automation software solutions are tied closely to Microsoft operating systems.[1] The company's first offerings were integrated with DOS, then evolved with the emergence of Microsoft Windows (including 3.1, NT, CE, 2000 and XP). ICONICS' current solutions integrate with, and are certified for, Microsoft's latest OSs, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

In 2010, ICONICS was named Microsoft's US Windows 7 ISV Partner of the Year.[2]

In 2011, ICONICS signed a global partnership agreement with Mitsubishi Electric to develop integrated software solutions for the Process Automation and Social Infrastructure global markets with Mitsubishi Electric contributing a 19.9% equity investment in ICONICS.

In 2012, ICONICS won Microsoft's Sustainability Partner of the Year Award. The Sustainability Partner of the Year Award recognizes the partner who delivered software and technology innovations built on the Microsoft platform that helped people and organizations around the world reduce their impact on the environment.[3]

In 2013, ICONICS was one of Microsoft's Partner of the Year Finalist for Application Development.[4]

In 2014, ICONICS was named Microsoft's CityNext Partner of the Year. The CityNext Partner of the Year is rewarded to the partner who helped customers reduce their energy consumption and environmental impact. ICONICS was recognized for this award for their building automation and energy efficiency solutions.[5]

In 2015, ICONICS received the Control Engineering Engineers' Choice Award for their MobileHMI product.[6]

In 2016, ICONICS received the Control Engineering Engineers' Choice Award for their KPIWorX product.[7]

Solutions

GENESIS64™ is ICONICS' HMI and SCADA suite using 64-bit computing. (ICONICS worked with Microsoft early on during the development of Windows Vista[8] to integrate 64-bit-optimized features into its latest HMI/SCADA suite.) ICONICS recently releases their version 10.9 of 64-bit automation software suites.[9]
Hyper Historian™ ICONICS' plant process historian designed to log data at greater than 100,000 tags per second and works with multiple data sources across the enterprise including OPC UA Servers, OPC DA Servers, OPC XML DA Servers, BACnet, SNMP devices and many more.[10]
AnalytiX® is ICONICS' suite of products that transform large amounts of real-time data from manufacturing and facility operations into Actionable Intelligence.[11]
MobileHMI™ brings the power of GENESIS64 HMI/SCADA solutions to any Smartphone, Tablet, Web Browser or Web-enabled device.[12]
The ICONICS IoT Gateway Suite communicates to Microsoft Azure or third-party applications using the most popular transport protocols.[13]
GENESIS32™ is ICONICS' OPC-enabled HMI and SCADA application.[14]
BizViz is ICONICS' manufacturing intelligence/business visualization software.[15]

ICONICS is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner whose products include HMI/SCADA and Manufacturing Intelligence/Business Visualization suites. ICONICS was named a 2008 Microsoft Gold Certified Partner of the Year in the Independent Software Vendor(ISV)/Software Solutions category.

ICONICS is a charter member of the OPC Foundation,[16] an organization responsible for maintaining the standards for automation connectivity.
