I, Librarian is a reference management software offered as an online service. It provides a multiuser web interface for editing and importing data from online scientific databases. I, Librarian helps the researcher collect, organize, and annotate reference material.[1]
The software behind I, Librarian service is released under the terms of the GPL license. The application is programmed in PHP, Javascript, and HTML5, and is maintained for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. It uses SQLite for storage of metadata. The software allows a user to quickly establish a server available to any member of the laboratory.[2]
It provides a direct PDF and reference import, PDF annotation and supports BibTeX and citation formatting using Citation Style Language.
