Ileana (also Illeana, Iliana) is a female given name of Greek origin. It is derived from the Greek name Helen. It has been adapted for Romanian and Spanish (in Spanish there is also Ilean and in Romanian Liana). In Romanian, a hypocoristic for Ileana is Nuţi (from Elenuţa, Ilenuţa).
