Immigrant Party

The Immigrant Party (Norwegian: Innvandrerpartiet) is a Norwegian multicultural immigrant's interests[1] political party which was founded on 3 September 2006 in Oslo.[2] Its chairman is Indian-Norwegian Mohan Singh Varma, a former member of the Labour Party, Centre Party, Conservative Party and Progress Party. Among the issues for the party was to introduce affirmative action for immigrants on jobs in the public sector.[3] In the 2007 local elections the party received a mere 0.1% of the votes (329 votes) in Oslo.[4]
