Imzouren (Arabic: إمزورن) is city in the north of Morocco and has an approximate population of 100,000 people. Imzouren is in the Rif mountains, near the city Al Hoceima and has nearly grown to the village Bni Bouayach. It's also close to the Souani Beach. Imzouren is a city from which many Moroccans have emigrated to the Netherlands 150 000 immigrants and France 100 000 immigrants for work and for a better life. Most of the inhabitants in Imzouren are Imazighen. In February 2004, there was an earthquake near Imzouren that registered 6.7 on the Richter scale. 1000 victims died there. Imzouren is annually visited by thousands of tourists, including Moroccan travellers and European tourists. There is a large number of cafés and terraces and a lively nightlife. It is home to an SOS Children's Village.
