The Indonesia Fed Cup team represents Indonesia in Fed Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Indonesian Tennis Association. They have not competed in the World Groups since 2006.
History
Indonesia competed in its first Fed Cup in 1969. Their best result was reaching the quarterfinals in 1991.
In 2006, Indonesia qualified for World Group II, but forfeited their play-off match against Israel, and hence was relegated. It was reported that the Indonesian Tennis Association was instructed to forfeit by the Indonesian government.
Recent results
In 2008, Indonesia competed in Asia/Oceania Zone Group I. In Pool A, Indonesia defeated Australia and India, but lost the tie versus New Zealand. Indonesia won the 5th place play-off against Thailand.
In 2009, Indonesia competed in Asia/Oceania Zone Group I. Indonesia has been drawn into Pool A, along with Uzbekistan, New Zealand and India. The nominated representatives were Sandy Gumulya, Ayu-Fani Damayanti, Lavinia Tananta and Jessy Rompies. Indonesia finished second in Pool A, and lost the 3rd place play-off against Thailand, hence finishing fourth in the competition.
In 2010, Indonesia was relegated to Group II, bowing out against Uzbekistan in the play-offs. In the round-robin stage, the Indonesians lost to Japan, Korea and New Zealand.
In 2011, Indonesia fought back and was promoted back to Group I. The team was represented by Damayanti, Tananta, Rompies, and veteran Yayuk Basuki.
