Indywood Film Market, a premier trade market for film industry professionals was held from 16 – 18 November 2015 at Le Meridian, Cochin. The film market facilitated sales and promotion of international cinema to Indian market and the sales of Indian cinema to international arena. Organised with All Lights India International Film Festival, IFM encompassed an array of activities where delegates were able to buy, sell, exhibit and pitch their content. Director of Oscar selected movie Dam999 and Founder Chairman & CEO of Aries Group of Companies, Sohan Roy is the founder director of ALIIFF & IFM. The 3 day film market consisted of Panel discussions featuring ace film makers, scholars and industrial stalwarts who enthralled the audience with their expertise. Some of the interesting topics discussed during the event included market trends, success formula of films, transnational channels of film distribution and Movie marketing. Engaging workshops were also conducted during the film market which brought together selected scholars and film makers representing their own specialized areas of research and interests. Sessions also included both moderated group discussions and prepared presentations.Indywood Film Market[1] also initiated Indywood Film Business Awards to honor the best traders in the industry across the globe. The second edition of Indywood Film Market will be held at Ramoji Film City on Sep 24 - 27, 2016.[2]
