Ingenious Media is a UK media investment and advisory group founded in 1998 by Patrick McKenna who is its Chief Executive Officer.
It is an investment and advisory group, with four operating divisions: Investments; Ventures; Asset Management; and Corporate Finance. The group is perhaps best known for its work in media and entertainment, but also includes leisure, sport, clean energy and real estate.
In July 2014 the BBC reported that Ingenious Media was being investigated by HMRC for promoting tax avoidance schemes.[1] In October 2014 the Financial Times reported that HMRC had sent 'accelerated payment notices' to people who had invested with Ingenious Media, demanding payment of substantial amounts of tax.[2]
