Inlogov
Inlogov, founded in 1966, is the Institute of Local Government Studies at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. It is a centre for the applied study of local and community governance. It has 11 academic staff members, 15 practitioner/academic associates, and a research income of around £1m per annum. INLOGOV is currently home to 150 postgraduates studying masters degrees or postgraduate certificates and 30 PhD students. Over 1,150 policy-makers and managers from across the public and non-profit sectors attended the department's seminars and development programmes in the last year.
Leadership
From 2001 - 2004 the director of Inlogov was Sir Michael Lyons; the current director is Catherine Staite.
