The Ireland Women's rugby union team represents both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in the rugby union.^[1]

History

National anthem lineup during the 2015 RBS Six Nations

Ireland created history when they defeated the Black Ferns 17-14 in the pool games of the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.^[2]^[3] They also finished in their highest ranking at the World Cup despite losing to France 18-25 in the third place play-off.
