Irish Political Studies

Irish Political Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal and the official journal of the Political Studies Association of Ireland covering research on Irish politics including politics of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and politics concerning relations with the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Impact factor

After the journal's citation data for 2011 were analysed, its impact factor was removed from the 2012 and 2013 Journal Citation Reports. Irish Political Studies was among several dozen journals, to lose their impact factor ratings in 2012 and again in 2013, a loss that occurred because the journals were "found to have anomalous citation patterns resulting in a significant distortion of the Journal Impact Factor, so that the rank does not accurately reflect the journal's citation performance in the literature."[1] In 2010, Irish Political Studies had an impact factor of 1.551.[2]
