Isidora Bjelica (Serbian Cyrillic: Исидора Бјелица) (born December 10, 1967) is a Serbian prose writer, playwright and public figure.
Based in Belgrade for most of her career, Bjelica has produced over 55 books - novels, short stories collections, plays, travel books, and screenplays. Her work usually explores taboo themes.
She also works as a columnist for several magazines and newspapers.
Her books have been translated into English, French, Spanish, Croatian, Macedonian and Slovene.
Personal life
Bjelica is a daughter of the famous chess author and journalist Dimitrije Bjelica.
She is married to professor Nebojša Pajkić, who co-authored one of her books.
They live in Belgrade and have a son and a daughter.
