"It Takes More" is Ms. Dynamite's debut single from her first album, A Little Deeper. It reached number seven in the UK Singles Chart in 2002, her second highest position reached to date on the chart.
Ms. Dynamite performed the track at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park, London.
She has taken some inspiration from the song "Chitarra Romana".[1]
Versions
There are two versions that were released, album and radio edit. For the "Radio Edit" Ms. Dynamite had re-written her lyrics instead of using the censor option, which is more popular among artists who release singles with inappropriate content for radio. American hip hop rapper Trina is known for re-writing verses for songs she plans to release as singles. The "Radio Edit" was released on promotional singles only. On clean versions of A Little Deeper, a censored version is used bleeping out inappropriate content. The "Album Version" was released on physical UK CD singles.
