Trieste is a planned light aircraft carrier of the Italian navy. It is expected to replace Giuseppe Garibaldi around 2022. Trieste will be able to be equipped with helicopters and attack aircraft. It will be one of the two largest vessels of the Italian navy along with Cavour.[1][2]
