Ithriyah is a small village in central Syria.
Syrian Civil War
During the Syrian Civil War, Ithriyah became an strategically important point as it lays on the last remaining highway under government control connecting the city of Aleppo trough Khanasir with the loyalist-controlled territory towards Al-Salamiyah.

During the Ithriyah-Raqqah offensive in 2016, Ithriyah was an important supply point at the route at the cut off highway in the north.
