J.Grym

Jori Grym known as J.Grym is the vocalist of the Finnish metal band Vanguard.^[1] He was born 29.12.1978 and lives in Helsinki.^[2]

He is featured with his band in the music video Whisper^[3] as well as on the records Succumbra (2005) and Hydralchemy (2007).^[4]

He works as a web producer and contributing writer for the Finnish magazine Turvallisuus & Riskienhallinta (Security & Risk Management)^[5] where he specializes in behavioral and psychological security. He also has a blog of the same subject titled www.irh-blogi.com.^[6] He is a security expert and for instance worked on a collaboration project on Supply Chain Integrity and Efficiency.^[7] He is also a card carrying member of Mensa International.^[8]

J.Grym has worked as a music journalist for SUE Magazine,^[9] Rytmi.fi,^[10] Dome.fi^[11] and was one of the first co-creators of Imperiumi.net. He also was one of the judges in the 2009 Ääni Ja Vimma band competition.^[12]

He is a bachelor of Business Administration from the Metropolia School Of Applied Sciences.^[13] His thesis is titled "Unintentional Lying in Job Recruitment. How subconscious forces guide job seekers and recruiters towards untruthful communication."^[14] He has an earlier vocational qualification degree in Business and Administration and has studied Social Psychology in the open University Of Helsinki.^[15] Currently he is a grad student in the Hanken School of Economics.^[16] He also plays midfield lacrosse for the Helsinki Chiefs.^[17]

He recently released a statement that Vanguard is recording its third studio album featuring Tonmi Lillman with a new line-up.^[18]
